Fooling Around With Cinderella is a well-written, touching and highly entertaining novel.
Twenty-something, Jaine Anderson, accepted a marketing position at Storybook Valley Amusement Park. She was not pleased, though, to find out that she would also be filling in as Cinderella for a couple of months. She wasn’t sure if she would be able to pull-off the Cinderella piece of the job but knew that she had to give it her best shot. Jaine was tired of doing errands and babysitting for her sister just because she was unemployed. Little did Jaine know, though, that her life was about to morph into a modern-day version of Cinderella, glass slipper and all.
Fooling Around With Cinderella is more than just a modern-day fairy-tale. It is a story that comes alive for the reader; constructed with vivid details, quirky characters, and witty dialogue. I loved every page of this superbly written novel. I liked that the story is told from Jaine’s point of view because it gives the reader an intimate look at the world through Cinderella’s eyes. I found Jaine’s internal dialogue and sassy banter with Storybook Valley manager, Dylan, hysterical.
This delightful storybook romance is pure entertainment. Kudos to Stacy Juba for crafting such an engaging and funny read. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading light, captivating chick-lit novels.
I received this book free of charge in exchange for an honest review.
