Take the body and Run is a humorous and enjoyable cozy mystery.
Macey Malloy has been hiding from stalkers since she was seventeen-years-old. She thought that living under the radar, and changing her identity would have been enough to keep her safe. She was wrong.
Macey worked hard at becoming a successful career woman. Everything she had in life; she’d earned without help from anyone. She was tough, self-confident, and borderline aggressive. Macey pushed aside any thoughts of ever having a romantic relationship. Romance led to intimacy, and intimacy to questions; questions that Macey could never answer. Not, if she wanted to stay alive, anyway.
However, after meeting Dr. Brett Reed and Detective Vince Knox, Macey thought that just maybe, she might have her chance at love after all. The two men knew about her secret, and yet, they both stood by her. Of course, being a murder suspect, and suspended from her job didn’t exactly make her a hot male magnet. Macey was hopeful, though, that she still might get her shot at having a normal relationship.
This book has a little bit of everything for the reader, murder, mystery, romance, and even some slapstick humor. The characters are over-the-top quirky, but entertaining. I enjoyed this book and found it to be a fun read.
I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
