Don’t Miss it!
A Place For Miss Snow is a sweet historical regency romance.
Diana Snow was a British orphan. She never knew what it was like to have a family or even a close friend. To keep herself from being hurt, Diana hid her feelings from everyone. However, after only a chance meeting with Alex Metaxas, a man whom she felt an immediate connection to, she did something foolish. Diana knew that it was unwise to follow a man, especially, in the dark, but she did so anyway. Diana told herself that she was only returning his gloves, but she knew that was just an excuse. Diana had no idea, though, that following Alex that night would lead to her kidnapping.
As far as kidnappings go, Diana considered herself lucky. She was brought to Greece and placed with a family who needed her assistance. They treated her with kindness and never made her feel as if she was a servant. Although Diana tried not to become close, she found herself falling in love with the children and the mother who she cared for. For the first time in her life, Diana felt actually happy, needed and part of a family unit. Alex became a regular visitor, and as much as she tried not to lose her heart to him, she knew that she already had.
I loved that the setting for this novel was in Greece. I found it fascinating to learn about what it was like to live there during the Regency period. I had no idea of the horrid hardships that the Greeks were made to endure under the Turks rule. A Place For Miss Snow is an enjoyable well-written historical fiction romance. I loved it.
Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley, for my advance review copy of this book.
