I Absolutely Loved John Heldt’s
Newest Release-Hannah’s Moon-
Hannah’s Moon is the final book in John Heldt’s exciting American Journey Series. I love reading time-travel novels, and Hannah’s Moon was no exception.
The book begins with Claire and Ron Rasmussen, depressed, and devastated over losing a child. Feeling as if their hearts could not possibly survive another break, they decide to adopt. What Ron and Claire didn’t count on, however, was how unpredictable and long the adoption process was. Claire’s brother David, though, offered them another solution.
Although Claire and Ron were stunned with the possibility of time-travel, they were also thrilled with the thought of having a child within weeks instead of years. The plan was to travel back to 1945, a time when babies up for adoption were plentiful. With time-travel, there was always the unknown, but if they followed the plan exactly, it was as foolproof as possible. The problem was, though, that it wasn’t foolproof enough. The twenty-first-century trio, unfortunately, came up against heart-wrenching obstacles. Even though a conversation about the end of WWII, was harmless among the time-travelers, if they were overheard, however, the consequences could be severe. They could be thrown in jail, forced to join the military or have their newly adopted baby ripped from their arms. Just when the trio thought that their dreams were coming true, the floodgates of trouble opened up.
I have read and enjoyed several of John Heldt books; but Hannah’s Moon, I will have to say, is one of my favorites. It has all the key ingredients of a fantastic read; well-written, perfectly paced, compelling, and crafted with a touch of intrigue and romance.
Many thanks to John Heldt for my complimentary copy of Hannah’s Moon. I absolutely loved it!
