Don’t Miss Jamie Beck’s Newest Captivating Novel, Coming 1/30/18!
All We Knew
For Hunter and Sara, getting married was easy. It’s staying together that’s the true test of love…
Hunter Cabot deeply loves two things: the international tea company he’s helped his father build, and his wife, Sara. From the moment he first saw her wide smile on their college campus years ago, Hunter fell hard. Yet now, with other family members pushing to sell the thriving business and Sara grieving their failure to start a family, he’s suddenly facing the crushing loss of both.
The relentless ambition that Sara once admired in Hunter is now driving them apart. Each missed doctor’s appointment, neglected dinner date, and family squabble accentuates their differing priorities. Still, Sara struggles to create the home life they’d envisioned, until unsettling developments—both personal and professional—push them to the breaking point.
When love is put to the ultimate test, can Hunter and Sara stop fighting each other long enough to fight for their marriage?
All We knew is a captivating novel about family secrets, lies, and broken promises. This is also a novel about the power of forgiveness and how it can soften and heal even the hardest of hearts.
Sara Cabot longed to have children. But after years of trying to get pregnant, even with the help of medical intervention, motherhood, remained just a dream for her. Sara and Hunter both felt that their relationship was a strong one. They thought that they would be able to weather just about anything, but when Sara’s desire to become pregnant became an obsession, and Hunter’s passion for the family business came before Sara, a wedge was driven between them.
The characters in this book are well-developed and intriguing. Sara was my favorite; her loving personality won me over right from the start. Hunter, however, took a bit longer. Although Hunter loved Sara and tried to please her, his strong desire to succeed, had him placing his work before his wife’s needs, again and again.
This book has wonderful lessons, woven seamlessly, into the fabric of the story, giving the novel depth and meaning. Some of the thoughtful topics covered in this book are forgiveness, empathy, compassion, and compromise. One of the hardest things for a person to do is to see themselves in a clear, honest, light. But, when they do, anything is possible.
