New Must Read Thriller by T.M. Logan Coming 9/11/18!

Lies is a gripping unputdownable crime thriller. I was hooked from the very first page.

Joe Lynch is an all-around good guy. He loved his wife, Mel, their four-year-old son, William, and their life together. Since Mel, had the highest paying job between the two of them, Joe was happy to take on most of William’s childcare. While out with William, Joe discovered his wife, Mel having a heated discussion with their friend, Ben, in a hotel restaurant. Joe trusted Mel’s fidelity. But, was concerned, as to why his friend, Ben, was so angry with her. Joe was happy being married to his wife, or at least he was, until, his world turned upside-down.

When Mel initially denied meeting Ben at the hotel, Joe felt crushed. Why was she lying to him? When Joe pressed for the truth, Mel confessed her rendezvous, with Ben. She explained it away, as an innocent work-related meeting. Joe felt guilty then, for questioning her, and Ben. He also wished that he hadn’t shoved his friend to the ground. Joe hated that he’d left Ben unconscious, and bleeding, but at the time, William started to have an asthma attack, and Joe needed to take care of his son. When Ben’s wife reported her husband missing, Joe’s life became sticky, especially when fingers started to point at him.

When a picture of Joe in handcuffs went viral, Joe was placed on administrative leave, from his job. Mel apologized a hundred times to Joe and pleaded for forgiveness. His life was spinning out of control. Joe was on the verge of losing everything; even his son was afraid of him. He was being framed for a crime, he didn’t commit, and didn’t know how to stop the accusations, before, it was too late.

This is a perfectly paced crime thriller with lots of twists and surprises. Although I didn’t find the book entirely realistic, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I finished the book in one day.

Thank you, St. Martin’s Press and NetGalley, for my advanced review copy. I loved it.
