Don’t Miss Maggie McGinnis’s Newest Small Town Romance.

Taking A Chance-5 Stars- Coming 11/7/17

Taking A Chance is a delightful love story that takes place, in Carefree, Montana, five miles outside the magical waters of Whisper Creek.

Emma Winthrop has been trying to impress her parents, for forever. She’s been climbing the corporate ladder at Galway Health for ten years. When she was called into the office, Emma was sure it was for a promotion, but instead of getting a new office, she was handed a temporary nursing home assignment in Montana. Emma had a masters degree in Health Administration but knew very little, about the day to day, decisions of running a nursing home. She was hoping that her inexperience wouldn’t be blatantly obvious to the staff. It was. Emma would discover, though, that keeping her heart from breaking was much more difficult, than being a nursing home administrator.

Jasper Stone owned a coffee shop, in downtown Carefree Montana. He was also the go-to-person for anyone who needed help; such as, caring for kittens, or cooking a meal at Shady Acres nursing home. Jasper believed that he had a lot to atone for, especially in the romance dept. He never wanted to destroy a woman’s life again. So when Emma Winthrop walked into his life and stole his heart, Jasper was beside-himself. He wanted Emma desperately but knew that he could never have her.

Jasper and Emma, both carried unresolved guilt, and couldn’t enjoy life to the fullest, because of it. Self-forgiveness is many times much harder than forgiving another person. Whisper Creek, however, is a magical place of healing. Some say the magic is in the air and the mountains, others say it’s the friendliness of the staff and horseback riding. But the people from Whisper Creek will tell you that the secret is in the water. I loved both of these characters. It was heartwarming to watch Jasper and Emma, grow and blossom. Maybe, Whisper Creek truly is an enchanted place for healing the soul.

Taking A Chance is a touching story. It’s a light, wholesome heartfelt romance. Thank you, Random House Publishing- Loveswept and NetGalley, for my advance review copy.

The Heart of a Texas Cowboy by Linda Broday

the heart of a texas cowboy

New Western Romance from Linda Broday, Coming May 1, 2017!

Lara never expected to marry. Her face was disfigured because of an evil man. The puckered scar was a constant reminder to her, of just what an angry person was capable of. No, Lara wasn’t in any hurry to marry. The only good that had ever come from being raped by Yuma Blackstone was her beautiful daughter, Gracie.

Houston Legend was broken. His bride, Becky, was dead, shot by a jealous lover, even though she had been carrying the murderer’s child. Houston had always loved Becky, but apparently, the feeling had been one sided. So, to protect his heart, Houston swore off women. He began to drink heavily until his father tricked him into marrying Lara Boone, a single woman with a child.

Yuma Blackstone, however, was not finished with Lara. And, he was not about to let Houston, steal what he considered, his property. Houston Legend, though, was not afraid of anyone. He would deal with the evil scum, the Legend way.

The Heart of a Texas Cowboy is an entertaining western romance. If you love outlaws, gunfights, and romance, you’ll enjoy reading this book.

Thank you, Sourcebooks-Casablanca and NetGalley, for my advanced review copy.

Meant To Be by Maggie McGinnis

Meant to be

Check Out Maggie McGinnis’s Delightful & Entertaining New Release!

I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet, captivating romance.
There was something special about Montana’s Whisper Creek Ranch that made folks, especially broken ones, want to stay on indefinitely. The abundance of fresh air, horses, and easy friendships soothed hurting and damaged hearts, like a healing balm.

Pop singer Shelby Quinn, aka Tara Gibson, was devastated by the sudden death of her father. Shelby’s manager insisted that she take a month off to rest and grieve. At first, Shelby hated the idea of being sent to Whisper Creek Ranch, a place in the middle of nowhere. But, then she met the charming, Cooper Davis, an ex-cop, turned cowboy and that changed everything.

Cooper was not pleased with his new assignment of playing a bodyguard, incognito, to a spoiled rich VIP. It didn’t take long, though, for Cooper to not only start enjoying his time with Shelby Quinn but to begin falling in love with her, as well. Cooper, however, had a shameful secret that if exposed, he knew, would send the beautiful pop singer running.

This well-written tale with lovable characters and realistic dialogue kept me engrossed from the very beginning until the last page. This is the first book I have read by Maggie McGinnis, but it won’t be my last.

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley, for my advanced review copy.
