Theo by Amanda Prowse –Review-4.5 Stars

Don’t Miss Amanda Prowse’s Newest Release-Theo–4.5 stars!  Out Now.

Theo is the second book in Amanda Prowse’s One Love, Two Stories, Series. After reading, Anna, the first novel, I couldn’t wait to devour the second one. And, just as I expected, book two is an outstanding, heart-wrenching, and emotional read.

Theo suffered from low self-esteem and bouts of depression all of his life. Although he had every material thing a person could want growing up, he craved approval and affection. His parents were wealthy, selfish, and preoccupied with their own lives. They had very little time for Theo. In fact, Theo felt like an outsider even in his own home. Although he attended one of the most prestigious boarding schools in England, Theo hated it. He was lonely and bullied. His only friend was Mr. Porter, the groundskeeper, a man Theo looked up to.

Theo was wise and compassionate most of the time.  And, although Theo was a quality person with a good heart, he, unfortunately, had a selfish streak that plagued him. I never quite forgave Theo for refusing to give the woman he loved, what she craved for the most in the world. The only thing, she truly ever asked of him. Theo did eventually come to his senses, but not soon enough.

Amanda Prowse does heart-gripping novels well, and this one is no different. It’s a heart-breaking story with threads of pure love and joy woven throughout its pages. I would recommend reading Anna first. It’s not necessary, but so much better, if you do.

Many thanks to Amanda Prowse for my advanced review copy. I loved it.

Anna by Amanda Prowse–#Review–5 Shining Stars!

Anna::.jpg 850..jpg

Don’t Miss This Superbly Written and Unforgettable Novel, Anna, Coming 3/8/18!

Anna is an emotional, heart-wrenching and unforgettable story. I devoured every page in this novel and found it impossible to put down.

Anna was a happy child until she lost her mother. She was only nine-years-old at the time. Unfortunately, her only sibling was her drug-addicted brother who became her sole caretaker. Anna was more of her brother’s keeper than he was hers. Although the situation was far from ideal, Anna would have given up anything, to keep her brother by her side. Instead, she spent many painful years in the child care system, and with an Aunt, who clearly didn’t want her.

Anna’s life began to turn around for the better after she met Theo. She fell for him quickly, as he did for her. Theo and Anna understood one another. They both came from troubled childhoods, and their emotional scars ran deep. Although it pained Theo to keep a secret from Anna, he felt that he had no choice. Theo was too afraid of losing the woman he loved. His secret, however, was a hurtful one, something that would deny Anna, of what she desired most in the world.

I loved every page of this superbly written novel! I have read several books by this author and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend reading, Anna. I’ll be looking forward to Amanda Prowse’s next book in the series, Theo’s story.

Thank you, Head of Zeus Publishing, Amanda Prowse, and NetGalley, for my advanced review copy.

The Art of Hiding by Amanda Prowse

The Art of Hiding::.jpg:.jpg
Coming, 7/18/17 – A Book Too Good To Miss.
The Art of Hiding by Amanda Prowse- I Absolutely Loved It!

The Art of Hiding is a superbly written, captivating and heartfelt novel. It’s a story, well told, and too good to miss!

Nina McCarrick was a happy and contented wife. She had a loving husband; a gorgeous home, and two sons, who attended a prestigious private school. Nina’s fantasy world, however, came crashing down, after her husband’s accident. Finn, the man whom she had loved and trusted, had hidden important information from her. Sadly, Nina didn’t discover this, until it was too late. The man whom Nina loved more than anything in the world was an enigma. She was shocked to find out that she really, didn’t know Finn, at all.

When Nina first got married and moved out of her poverty-stricken neighborhood, she thought that she had arrived. Nina was in love with life. But, what she didn’t realize at the time, was that pieces of her personality were being swept away and buried. And by the time she lost her husband, Nina was just a shell of a person of who she once was. It was Tiggy, the sister whom Nina had distanced herself from, who came to her rescue. She reminded Nina of the fearless girl she had once been, before a fancy lifestyle and husband, stripped that away.

Nina didn’t know how she was going to live and support her boys. What she discovered, though, was that it was family, friends, and genuine kindness from strangers, who made the difference for her. And that sometimes, less, truly was more.

I’m glad that I discovered the talented author, Amanda Prowse. Her newest book, The Art of Hiding is now one of my favorite books and a novel that I will definitely read again. I absolutely loved, everything about this book! Highly recommended.

Thank you, Lake Union Publishing and NetGalley, for my advanced review copy!
