New Release by Amanda Prowse–The Coordinates of Loss– Coming–9/25/18

The Coordinates of Loss is a profoundly moving book that takes place on two fronts, England and Bermuda. Rachel was ecstatic about moving to Bermuda with her husband, James, and their son. The couple would have several years of happiness on the Island, and develop, a deep friendship, with their housekeeper, Cee Cee, before a disastrous tragedy would rip their family apart.

Be prepared to suffer from an emotional overload. Each page is dripping with raw emotion. The grief Rachel and James suffer is palpable. Cee Cee becomes much more than just a housekeeper to them. She unselfishly gives of herself and plays a part in the couple’s healing. Rachel feels Cee Cee’s comfort the most, as she reveals to Rachel, her own soul-tearing loss, which occurred years prior.

The author does an incredible job tapping into the mind and hearts of her characters, especially Cee Cee and Rachel’s. The writing in this book is outstanding.  I’ll warn you though; the sadness is heartwrenching and overwhelming at times. Keep tissues handy.

Thank you, Lake Union Publishing and NetGalley, for my advanced review copy!

Theo by Amanda Prowse –Review-4.5 Stars

Theo::.jpg 850.jpg

Don’t Miss Amanda Prowse’s Newest Release-Theo–4.5 stars!  Out Now.

Theo is the second book in Amanda Prowse’s One Love, Two Stories, Series. After reading, Anna, the first novel, I couldn’t wait to devour the second one. And, just as I expected, book two is an outstanding, heart-wrenching, and emotional read.

Theo suffered from low self-esteem and bouts of depression all of his life. Although he had every material thing a person could want growing up, he craved approval and affection. His parents were wealthy, selfish, and preoccupied with their own lives. They had very little time for Theo. In fact, Theo felt like an outsider even in his own home. Although he attended one of the most prestigious boarding schools in England, Theo hated it. He was lonely and bullied. His only friend was Mr. Porter, the groundskeeper, a man Theo looked up to.

Theo was wise and compassionate most of the time.  And, although Theo was a quality person with a good heart, he, unfortunately, had a selfish streak that plagued him. I never quite forgave Theo for refusing to give the woman he loved, what she craved for the most in the world. The only thing, she truly ever asked of him. Theo did eventually come to his senses, but not soon enough.

Amanda Prowse does heart-gripping novels well, and this one is no different. It’s a heart-breaking story with threads of pure love and joy woven throughout its pages. I would recommend reading Anna first. It’s not necessary, but so much better, if you do.

Many thanks to Amanda Prowse for my advanced review copy. I loved it.

Anna by Amanda Prowse–#Review–5 Shining Stars!

Anna::.jpg 850..jpg

Don’t Miss This Superbly Written and Unforgettable Novel, Anna, Coming 3/8/18!

Anna is an emotional, heart-wrenching and unforgettable story. I devoured every page in this novel and found it impossible to put down.

Anna was a happy child until she lost her mother. She was only nine-years-old at the time. Unfortunately, her only sibling was her drug-addicted brother who became her sole caretaker. Anna was more of her brother’s keeper than he was hers. Although the situation was far from ideal, Anna would have given up anything, to keep her brother by her side. Instead, she spent many painful years in the child care system, and with an Aunt, who clearly didn’t want her.

Anna’s life began to turn around for the better after she met Theo. She fell for him quickly, as he did for her. Theo and Anna understood one another. They both came from troubled childhoods, and their emotional scars ran deep. Although it pained Theo to keep a secret from Anna, he felt that he had no choice. Theo was too afraid of losing the woman he loved. His secret, however, was a hurtful one, something that would deny Anna, of what she desired most in the world.

I loved every page of this superbly written novel! I have read several books by this author and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend reading, Anna. I’ll be looking forward to Amanda Prowse’s next book in the series, Theo’s story.

Thank you, Head of Zeus Publishing, Amanda Prowse, and NetGalley, for my advanced review copy.
