New Exciting Historical Fiction by Amy Jarecki–Coming 12/19/17.

The Highland Guardian–4.5 Stars!

The Highland Guardian is a well-written, perfectly paced Scottish Highlander Romance.

Reid, the Scottish Earl of Seaforth, did not want to take on the responsibility of another man’s daughter. But, how could he refuse his dying friend’s request? What Reid never expected, however, was that Nicholas’s daughter, Audrey, was not a wee bairn, to be taken care of, but a full grown woman, and a beautiful one, at that. Reid found that he had to constantly remind himself, that Audrey was his ward, and under his protection, not a woman with whom he could take liberties with. There was also that other complication, which Reid often tries to put out of his mind; the fact that he is betrothed. When Reid was just a young lad, his father promised a clan chieftain, that Reid would marry his daughter. This marriage would ensure a strong binding alliance between the two clans. It didn’t matter that Reid had no interest in marrying this woman. He was an Earl, after all, and expected to marry to benefit the clan. Breaking off a betrothal would be considered a betrayal. And, the last thing Reid wanted was to foster mistrust or a war between the clans. But, how could Reid marry someone he’s grown up with, knowing that his heart belonged to another woman?

There was evil lurking around Audrey’s home. It was just waiting for the right opportunity to pounce. Now, that Nicholas Kennet was out of the way, it was time for revenge. And, Nicholas Kennet’s daughter, Audrey, would be paying the price. The only barrier to a successful end, was Reid, the Scottish Earl of Seaforth. So, the nosey Earl would have to go.

The Highland Guardian is a captivating historical fiction romance; crafted with emotion, witty dialog, and well-developed characters.

The Highland Commander by Amy Jarecki

Don’t Miss Amy Jarecki’s Newest Riveting Release, The Highland Commander!

The Highland Commander is a well-written and exciting historical fiction romance.
Lady Magdalen Keith was used to being shunned and treated as an outcast. As an infant her mother gave her up, knowing that she’d have a richer life with her father, the Earl of Marischal. However, when the Earl married, everything in Lady Magdalen’s life changed. Her stepmother didn’t want the Earl of Marshal’s illegitimate daughter in her home. So, Lady Magdalen was sent away, ostracized, once again. The Earl provided financially, for Lady Magdalen, and on occasion, visited her, but that was the extent of his expression of love for her.

Lady Magdalen met First Lieutenant Aiden Murray at one of her father’s masquerade balls. Lady Magdalen thought that when the two of them fell in love, her days of being snubbed and treated as an outcast were over. She was wrong, though, very wrong.

The Highland Commander is a riveting story filled with suspense, betrayal, and romance. I was captivated and cared about the characters right from the start. Lady Magdalen is a strong, likable heroine and Lord Aiden Murray, a hero like no other. Although the story does not paint the Earl of Marischal as a villain, I didn’t like him. He put Lady Magdalen in harm’s way, too often for my liking. I read the book in one day because I couldn’t put it down.

The Highland Duke by Amy Jarecki

The highland Duke.

Don’t Miss Amy Jarecki’s Newest Release!

The Highland Duke is a delightful, well-written and compelling historical fiction romance.

The Duke of Gordon rode, incognito, against the Queen. He knew that if he was recognized in battle that he would not only stand trial as a traitor; but his lands would be forfeited as well. The Duke, however, did not plan on getting shot. He hid behind a bush with a musket ball in his thigh, moaning in agony, until Akira Ayres, a beautiful Gypsy healer found him. The two didn’t escape the battlefield unseen, however, and although Captain Roderick Weaver, couldn’t identify, at first, who they were, he and his men galloped after them. The Captain was determined to show the Jacobites exactly what would happen to a man if he dared to take up arms against the Queen. When the Captain came across the Duke of Gordon’s silver flask, he almost salivated with anticipation. The Captain knew that when he delivered the traitorous Duke to the Queen, he would become a rich man. The Captain could practically taste the sweet bounty of the Duke’s lands.

The Duke had his hands full with Akira, his feisty Gypsy healer. Although he couldn’t make Akira his wife, he also didn’t want to let her go. Akira’s mother, however, had other plans for the Duke. And she had no qualms about letting him know precisely what they were.

I was completely captivated by the storyline, the characters and the humorous banter between the Duke and his Gypsy healer, Akira.
