Allie and Bea by Catherine Ryan Hyde

Allie and Bea

Don’t Miss Catherine Ryan Hyde’s Newest Novel; Allie and Bea. It’s Captivating, Touching and Superbly Written. I Loved It! Release Date- 5/23/17.

Allie and Bea is a compelling, heartfelt novel that touches the soul. This book lingered in my thoughts long after I finished the last page. It’s a story about love, friendship, oppression, and survival.

Bea is an elderly homeless woman, traveling in a van with her cat. Allie is a fifteen-year-old-naive girl who had a privileged, happy life until her parents went to prison. Allie was put into foster care, where she feared for her life and ran away.

Bea never imagined that she would be the type of person who would manipulate unsuspecting individuals for money. But, being homeless forced her to do just that. She was surviving alone with her cat when a frightened teen, Allie, leaped into her van and changed Bea’s life forever.

After a stormy start, Bea and Allie started to enjoy one another’s company. They stayed in campgrounds and parking lots and began to discover that people were generally kind; something that Bea found, remarkable. While hiding from the authorities, Allie and Bea learned valuable lessons. They would also develop a strong, unbreakable bond.

I love finding new favorite authors and Catherine Ryan Hyde is now one of them. I loved this book and will definitely read more by this talented writer. Don’t miss this extraordinary novel. I highly recommend giving it a read.
