Serenity Avenged.2.99

Don’t Miss Craig Hart’s Newest Compelling Thriller!

Serenity Avenged is the third riveting book in the Shelby Alexander Thriller Series.
Ex-boxer and fixer, Shelby Alexander was not looking forward to seeing his former wife, Helen. But, their daughter, Leslie, was in the hospital, so it was time for him to put his uncomfortable feelings aside. Helen had been trying to cozy up to him lately, though. Shelby wasn’t sure what his ex-wife’s game was, but figured it was probably money related.

Helen had made the most dangerous decision of her life, when she approached Darkmore, for a loan. She’d been desperate at the time, but realizes now, what a huge mistake it was. Not having the money, to pay back a shady loan shark, came with grave consequences.

Darkmore was a sadistic crime lord. When his clients couldn’t pay, he tortured them until they found the money. Jimmy had always looked up to his uncle. He had no idea, though, about his uncle’s true dark nature, until he started to work for him. Jimmy, got his first violent lesson, fast enough, though, as soon as his client, Helen, couldn’t pay back her loan.

Serenity Avenged is a gritty crime thriller; well-written and filled with realistic characters, dialogue, and suspense. Once I started reading the book, I couldn’t put it down. I highly recommend this compelling thriller.

Thank you, Craig Hart, for my complimentary review copy. I loved it!

*Serenity Stalked* by Craig A. Hart

Don’t Miss Craig Hart’s Newest Release!

Serenity Stalked is the second compelling book in the Shelby Alexander Thriller Series.

Ex-boxer Shelby Alexander initially moved to Serenity, to be close to his daughter. He was hoping that the small Michigan town would also bring him a bit of peace and quiet, but he was wrong. Since moving to Serenity, both his boxing and fixer talents have been called upon. In book one of the series, Shelby Alexander comes up against his trigger-happy, drug dealing neighbors. And, in book two, Serenity Stalked, Shelby finds himself running from the law and hunting down a serial killer at the same time.

Shelby Alexander and Sheriff Wilkes could barely tolerate one another. So when the murder weapon used to kill the Blair family, was found in Shelby Alexander’s shed, Sheriff Wilkes was more than happy to slap the cuffs on the old ex-boxer. Shelby was never a runner, but he couldn’t keep Carly safe if he were locked up in a jail cell. However, while Shelby was hiding out, he realized that he had made a terrible and grave mistake.

Serenity Stalked is a perfectly paced, riveting crime thriller. I loved the first book in this series, so I couldn’t wait to read the second. Although the book is short, it is well-written and exciting. I’ll be looking forward to book three.

Thank you, Craig Hart, for my complimentary review copy. I loved it.

*SERENITY* by Craig A. Hart*5-Shining Stars*

Serenity is a well-written, captivating, crime-thriller. I was hooked from the beginning of this book and couldn’t put it down until the last page was turned.

Sixty-year-old Shelby Alexander moved back to his small rural hometown in Michigan. His careers as a boxer and a fixer were behind him now, or so he thought. The town had its problems, the Ellis family being one of them. They were mean, violent, drug dealers. So when Jenny Ellis died on Shelby’s property, he knew that his quiet days in Serenity were over.

Harper Ellis banged on Shelby’s door. He needed Shelby’s connections and fixer talents. Harper wasn’t buying the concocted bull-story, that the sheriff was trying to sell him, about his sister freezing to death. Jenny was murdered, and Harper Ellis knew it. There were new drug pushers in town, and they were moving in on Harper’s territory. His gut was telling him, that they had a hand in his sister’s death. Shelby knew that accepting money from Harper Ellis was like making a bargain with the devil. However, ten thousand dollars was a lot of money and too sweet of a deal to turn down. But, when bullets started to fly through his window, Shelby knew that he was in trouble. He warned his retired cop friend Mack that he’d be in danger if he came to the house, but his friend still wanted to come and stay for a few days. Shelby welcomed him with open arms.

Serenity is a gripping, perfectly-paced novel. There are no wasted words in this book, every sentence moves the story forward, guiding the reader through surprising twists and turns. I found the characters to be realistic and their dialogue natural and witty. I loved the humorous one-liners that were sprinkled throughout the novel.

Craig Hart is a talented writer and great storyteller. I’ve added him to my list of favorite authors, and can’t wait for book two of this series to be released. Check out Serenity; you’ll be glad you did.

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
