New Release by Amanda Prowse–The Coordinates of Loss– Coming–9/25/18

The Coordinates of Loss is a profoundly moving book that takes place on two fronts, England and Bermuda. Rachel was ecstatic about moving to Bermuda with her husband, James, and their son. The couple would have several years of happiness on the Island, and develop, a deep friendship, with their housekeeper, Cee Cee, before a disastrous tragedy would rip their family apart.

Be prepared to suffer from an emotional overload. Each page is dripping with raw emotion. The grief Rachel and James suffer is palpable. Cee Cee becomes much more than just a housekeeper to them. She unselfishly gives of herself and plays a part in the couple’s healing. Rachel feels Cee Cee’s comfort the most, as she reveals to Rachel, her own soul-tearing loss, which occurred years prior.

The author does an incredible job tapping into the mind and hearts of her characters, especially Cee Cee and Rachel’s. The writing in this book is outstanding.  I’ll warn you though; the sadness is heartwrenching and overwhelming at times. Keep tissues handy.

Thank you, Lake Union Publishing and NetGalley, for my advanced review copy!

#The Storyteller’s Secret by Sejal Badani–Review–5 Shining Stars #NetGalley

storyteller's secret::.jpg 850.jpgDon’t Miss This Outstanding, Unforgettable, Novel!–The Storyteller’s Secret–9/1/18

Wow, what an extraordinary novel! I loved every page of this magnificently crafted, heartwrenching, touching story. I read the book in one day because I didn’t want to put it down, not even for a moment.

I was utterly engrossed in this novel. The author transported me to India and into the hearts and minds of Amisha, Jaya, Lena, and Ravi. I empathized with the characters, learned their culture, and had my heart broken a few times. I agonized and rejoiced with Amisha, Jaya, and Lena, and fell in love with Ravi, while he cried and unburdened his heart. The Storyteller’s Secret is a thought-provoking, moving novel; so well-written that the characters come alive in it. I didn’t want the book to end.

This is a story about sacrifice, choices, friendship, and love. It’s also unforgettable. Highly, highly recommended. Five-shining stars from this reader.

Thank you, Lake Union Publishing and NetGalley, for my advanced review copy. I absolutely loved it!
